Welcome to the Tunnel of Shame

I have been in the crawlspace under my home — there are critters there. And damp. However, if you live in Moscow (and I believe you might!), then chances are this guy’s been in your crawlspace as well.

A brief note on spelunking:
I have never engaged in any cave exploration. Remember to make the necessary offerings to any local cave deities before entering. Always remember your helmet.

And if you’re trying to see the wonders of the universe (on less than five Altarian dollars per day), also remember that a good hitchiker will always know where his towel is. And don’t panic.

Living more wellfully on day-by-day respect

I enjoy lunch.
I secretly compose brilliant music (secret).
I want to see 320,000 ping pong balls cascading down a ski jump.

To suck (hella)

It went something like this:

LeadPipe: Puzzle Pirates if fun!
Wedge55: Warcraft 3 is fun!
LeadPipe: Are you on Battle.net?
Wedge55: No, but I can be!
LeadPipe: Let’s play!
Warcraft 3: Oops, fatal error!
Warcraft 3: Oops, fatal error! Again!
Wedge55: Hold on, I need to restart!
LeadPipe: Channel Pi!
*OMFG RESTART*
Microsoft: Bend over for us, please!
Wedge55: Okay!
Microsoft: No more Internet connection for you!

And so it will remain until my computer fixes itself.

I know you’re disappointed

You might think it silly, but I enjoy it when you talk to me! Please, have a seat. Make yourself comfortable. You can help yourself to anything in the fridge.

Seriously… what else are you going to do? Go outside?

Whatever.

Our Union, and the state of same

State of the Union — a good deal about terrorists, and how they’re teaming up to get us. But what I really came away with was the President’s powerful anti-steroid message. Kids, don’t do anabolic steroids!

If DS=Double Screen, Nintendo needs some new talent

I won’t pass judgement until I see what the thing can do at E3. After all, it’s all about the games, right? Right?

What a stupid idea.

Repetitively unnecessary

As you’re all already aware, we now use Movable Type to get things done around here. As much fun as using a news script whose last build was released in 1998 was, Movable Type has several features which I couldn’t ignore, especially once I discovered MT has an import feature which allows you to import newsposts from other blogging tools, like our very own News Pro, directly into Movable Type. Besides, I take great pleasure in copying THE MONKEY PAGES (dot COM).

The biggest reason for the switch was the already-integrated comments system, which blows any of the News Pro add-on systems out of the water in terms of customization and ease of use. The fact that it doesn’t display everyone’s IP addresses for the world to see is a nice bonus too. I’m not sure what the point of having both a little-used comments system and a little-used forum are, but I’m certain we’ll find out in due time. I like to think of the forums as our resident waste receptacle, whereas these comments are the place of intelligent, insightful feedback (stretching the definitions of “intelligent,” “insightful,” and “feedback” to their limits). This, however, doesn’t mean I’ll be banning anybody’s IP for posting long, detailed descriptions of their own anus. I really don’t care what ends up in the comments. If you really piss me off (read: linking to porn which isn’t hilariously disturbing or embedding mp3s into your comments, (HTML is fully enabled)) then you can kiss your sweet ass goodbye.

Movable Type also allows for multiple weblogs which can be accessed through the same front-end, with various authors given permissions to specific blogs. While we have no immediate use for such a feature at present, there’s a feature or two floating around inside my head which could easily take advantage of such an option. (Which means you’ll never see it).

Also, the Inn Music is all offline temporarily, as I needed to remove it during the insanity that was the Movable Type installation. Expect it back online someday. Maybe even today! (Not today.)

The title is about wedge55 and brotherhood

Wee! Powered by MoveableType!
I wanted the first entry under the l337 new system, but wedge55 is mean. I just found that out today.

Here’s a really big picture of President Bush.

On a good day, nobody knows I’m here

We don’t use News Pro anymore. Now we use Movable Type. It allows you to comment on our updates. All the old updates are still online. They have been imported into Movable Type. I don’t know how to customize the archive pages. Feel free to comment on old entries for now, but know this: I will remove comments on all old updates just as soon as I figure out how to.

The search function now works.

Expect a longer, much less concise update on this very topic some time tomorrow. Now, vector_black.
