25. Bionic Commando The world's greatest hero, Super Joe, has been captured by Hitler Master D, and it's up to you to save him. What makes Bionic Commando so unique, is that it's an action platformer without a jump button. Instead, the player must use their character's grappling arm as a means to navigate the world. The arm allows for a multitude of moves reminiscent of Spider-Man's own repertoire, as players can use the arm to swing from object to object, build up momentum to leap gaps, or as a means to pull their character to higher ground. With a nonlinear level progression scheme, unique control system, and plenty of Nazi Killilt soldiers to kill, this ground breaking classic is the perfect game with which to begin our list.
